As Vice President of Development, Christmas Rini has been an integral part in the development of A. Smith & Co. Production’s current programming including Crash Course for ABC and I Survived a Japanese Game Show for ABC as well as the upcoming series I Married A Stranger for FOX and Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura for truTV. Rini most recently held the title of Director of Development at A. Smith & Co. where she has been for the past three years during which time she worked on Trading Spaces for TLC, Crime Scene University for Discovery ID. Prior to her tenure at A. Smith, Rini was employed with Endemol, USA assisting Tom Forman with the development of projects including Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Rini got her start in entertainment working at Siren Pictures where she developed both feature film and television scripted projects.
Rini attended Chapman University and obtained her BFA in Film and Television Production. During her tenure at Chapman she was chosen as one of the top ten most promising filmmakers and won a very prestigious script competition through which she was granted a scholarship with Kodak Film. In her final year at Chapman she was also handpicked to work with Arthur Hiller for a mentorship program that provided her immeasurable insight into storytelling and directing.
